Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) are installed at industrial process plants to continuously collect, record and report emissions data.
Achieve Emissions Compliance
Requirements for monitoring emissions to air are stipulated in the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) regulations. The Environment Agency or local authority issue environmental permits which mostly require CEMS analysers to be MCERTS certified.
Most Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems are designed to continuously extract flow, dust, and concentrations of gas pollutants such as SO2, NOx, CO, & CO2 from the exhaust stream via a stack probe. In most cases, the sample is conditioned and transported to the CEM analysers housed in a temperature controlled cabinet.
Data acquisition and handling software (DAHS) is paramount to the functionality of a Continuous Emissions Monitoring System. As well as providing real-time customised reports, our data acquisition & reporting software, CDAS, ensures that the CEMS suite is running to it’s full capabilities, eliminating the risk of excess emissions.
a1-cbiss Systems Integrators
a1-cbiss are one of the major Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems suppliers that offer the complete package. We have hundreds of installations across the UK on incineration plants, coal-fired power stations, and biomass plants. a1-cbiss can also supply analysers for raw gas, mercury, dioxins, biogenic CO2 and syngas measurements.
a1-cbiss have a proven reputation for helping to support clients. We support operators and EPCs so they understand the legislative demands, how to select the right CEM analysers, solving onsite issues and help with data acquisition. All systems are supported by the UK’s largest service network which offers around the clock reliability and performance.
Many of the gas analysers are manufactured by Envea in France. Envea emissions monitors are renowned for their accuracy, reliability, leading-edge technology and innovation.
